The Technological Institute of Veracruz is a higher education institution focused on the training of skilled personnel in the areas scientific and technological research and to make them, to promote economic and social development of Mexico . It depends on the Mexico National Technology which in turn is the Ministry of Education. It is located in the city of Veracruz , Veracruz , Mexico . In 1946 the engineer Ismael Lagunes Lastra founded the School of Arts and Crafts in Veracruz to train technical staff trained to respond to emerging industrial development of the port of Veracruz . This school was located in the Avenida General Prim. number 98. Two years later, the Department of Special Teachings renamed the center to School Special school number 20. At that time only primary and secondary education (secondary) and technical training was provided Youth, but it was one of the best schools in the city of Veracruz
