The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) is a doctoral-degree-granting component of the Nevada System of Higher Education, an agency of the State of Nevada, United States of America. Founded in 1957, the University offers more than 220 undergraduate, graduate and professional degree programs It is a public research-intensive and fully accredited institution with about 28,000 students and some 2,800 faculty and staff at its 350 acre main campus, located within view of the famous “Las Vegas Strip” resort corridor.
