The Technological University of Peru (acronym: UTP ) is a university private located in the city of Lima , Peru . It was founded on September 11 of 1997 , by businessman and politician Ing. Roger Amuruz Gallegos . Currently it has 29 undergraduate programs. The Technological University of Peru was founded on 8 September of 1997 , by the engineer Roger Amuruz Gallegos . That same year, demand for the students of Technological Institute - IDAT, the UTP is established. Formally, the Technological University of Peru began to exercise functions in November 1997, when the National Council of Authorization and Operation of Universities (CONAFU) provisionally authorized operation. After overcoming the five evaluations that includes the CONAFU and meet the demands of the Peruvian University Act, the CONAFU definitely authorized its operation on March 28, 2005, by Resolution No. 103-2005-CONAFU.
