The Polytechnic University of Cartagena or UPCT , is a public university located in the city Spanish of Cartagena ( Murcia ), with schools mainly technological and business nature. There officially since 3 August 1998. The Polytechnic University of Cartagena is the technical university youngest of Spain, provided that binds to its long university history in the fields of engineering and business, dating back at several of its schools early last century, allowing this youth union of tradition and turn it into a dynamic and innovative institution.The creation of the Technical College of Cartagena began in 1975 as a result of the integration of studies at the University of Murcia , with the aim of integrating into it the University Schools of Technical Mining Engineering and Industrial Engineering and to submit in the new center other studies.
