The original idea of ​​the strategic alliance between the Paraguayan Industrial Union and SRH Holding - Heidelberg was: "Start the first private German University in South America, supporting the Industrial Development Paraguay as an effective contribution to the Paraguayan Education." Between September and November 2011, Prof. Dr. Jörg Winterberg, rector of the University SRH Holding Heidelberg - Germany, traveled to Paraguay for a scheduled visit by the Paraguayan Ambassador to Germany. They participated in the interviews the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and the German Embassy in Asuncion. The purpose of this first visit was to explore the academic, business, political and social environment of Paraguay to assess the feasibility of advancing the intent of the SRH Holding - Heidelberg to open an office in Latin America.
