The University College of Cundinamarca is a University Autonomous Entity, with special arrangements, legal status, academic, administrative and financial autonomy, independent patrimony, linked to the Ministry of Education in relation to policy and planning in the education sector Creation: Created by Law 48 of December 17, 1945, under the name of Colegio Mayor de Cundinamarca Female Culture. By Law 91 of 1993 changed the name to University College of Cundinamarca. Recognition: Recognized as a university according to Resolution 828 of 13 March 1996 issued by the Ministry of Education. It is governed by the Constitution of Colombia, Law 30 of 1992, which organizes the public service of higher education, the General Agreement Statute 011 of 10 April 2000 and internal rules of the University Council, Academic Council and Rector.
