Hostel
IET offers a superb boarding complex to its students. The rooms are well- ventilated, elegant, cavernous and cozy. Two students stay in a room comfortably. There are adequate security arrangements for protecting the students from any untoward incident. The Hostel Superintendents cum Counsellors interact with the students amicably and Solve their intractable problems with astonishing ease. To keep the young technocrats abreast of the latest developments in the field of science, sports, politics, etc. the institute provides Dish Antennae connectivity in the boarding complex.
The boys’ hostel has the capacity of about 200 boys (extendable up to 250) whereas the girls’ hostel can house 50 girls (can be extended up to 100). Hostels have Common Rooms, Gym, Badminton Courts, Volleyball ground and facilities for other indoor games. We are the first one in the region to have students from other countries like Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh and all are residing in the hostel with a feeling. A HOME AWAY FROM HOME. Such a blend of different cultures provides an opportunity to our students to work and adjust in the multicultural environment which is a prerequisite to be successful in the era of Globalization.
Architecture:
The hostel buildings are remarkable pieces of architecture. Because of the carefully designed structure the temperature inside the buildings remains comfortable even in extremely hot weather conditions.
Common Rooms:
Spacious Common Rooms are provided in all the hostels, which are a place for constructive activities like indoor games, discussions and get together within the hostel. Indoor games like carom board, chess, table tennis are provided within the hostels. There is a separate Badminton court in both the hostels and sports equipment is provided from the hostel’s sports committee.
Rooms:
Well-furnished and spacious rooms are there for boys and girls each. There are cubical as well as dormitories for the students. Each room is equipped with a bed, a study table, study chair, almirah and an easy chair.
Hostel Committees:
Various committees viz cultural, discipline, sports, mess, maintenance have been constituted to provide opportunities for overall development of their personalities during their stay in the hostel. These clubs serve to organize all the cultural events and other happenings in the hostel.
Mess:
We have a feeling that Mess is the soul of hostel facilities, so we maintain the quality of food and the hygienic conditions inside the mess under the supervision of a competent food quality supervisor ( as a permanent staff).
The hostel provides the students with daily newspapers and various magazines to make them aware of the daily happenings of the world.

Games are an integral part of learning. The innate structure of sports with its disciplined organization and set of laws has always been used as a learning tool for introducing and practising self-regulation, self-confidence and decision-making skills.
Our physical fitness and good health infrastructure – Basketball Court, Football Ground, Volleyball court and some indoor games, etc. – is amongst the very best in the region With a view to develop the all round personality of the students, the PIET administration is committed to give plenty of opportunities to students in sports as well as other extracurricular activities. We encourage our students to excel at all sporting events.
The Sports meet 2K16 was an extravaganza of different games and true sports personship with ten teams. It was an Inter College Sports meet of its kind in the region chaired by Dr. Dalel Singh Chauhan, the Director of Sports, KUK. The meet included games like- Football, Basket-ball, Volleyball, Athletics etc. DCRUST, Murthal, Arya PG College, Panipat, Gateway College of Engineering, Sonepat, PM College of Engineering, South Point, Hindu College, Sonepat, DITM, Gannaur and IITM, Murthal were the main participants. In this meet Mr.Yogesh Hooda (CSE) and Ms. Anjali (BBA) from PIET were declared the best Athletes in Boys and Girls respectively. PIET Football, Basketball Team, Volley ball Team got the 2nd positions respectively in fiercely fought matches.
PIETians got the first place in the Inter-College Football Tournament, held at DITM, Gannaur in 2015 and Mr. Nitish was declared as best Athlete. Mr. Amaneet Singh and Mr. Govind Singh won the 2nd and the 3rd positions respectively in “The Best Physique (Body Building) Inter-College Competition” which was held at SD (PG) College, Ambala Cantt. In 2015, the Badminton team of our Institute bagged the 3rd position in Inter-College Tournament held at SD (PG) College, Ambala Cantt.
