The March 27, 1991, the Hector Alejandro Barceló Foundation for the development of biomedical science Argentina obtained its legal status through Resolution No. 341 of the General Inspectorate of Justice, setting as its objective the development of university education, science, research and health promotion in the community.

Their commitment to medical education led him to create in 1968 the Institute of Biological Research and Teaching. After twenty-three years experience and having contributed to the formation of more than 40,000 future doctors in 1991 Hector Alejandro Barceló Foundation for the Development of Biomedical Science Argentina was formed.
