In informal meetings led by former President Carlos Lleras Restrepo and Dr. Hernan Echavarria Olozaga, educators, politicians and business leaders gave their ideas to create a School of Management premier. With the support of the National Association of Industrialists (ANDI) and the Colombian Institute of Administration (INCOLDA) CESA was born as a private educational institution, nonprofit.

To date, the CESA society has given more than 2,600 graduates of undergraduate and nearly 3,000 graduate graduates, which together have created more than 250 companies and generated more than 15,000 jobs.
