The Federal University of Acre - UFAC, based in the city of Rio Branco, Acre state capital, with academic activities throughout the state, is a public and free institution, maintained For the Federal University of Acre, created by Decree No. 74706 of 17 October 1974, pursuant to Law No. 6,025, of April 5, 1974, aimed to develop inseparably teaching, research and extension. The Federal University of Acre Foundation will provide, under the Act, its heritage for the use of Federal University of Acre. The Federal University of Acre enjoys teaching and scientific autonomy, administrative, patrimonial and financial management, in accordance with Article 207 of the Federal Constitution and laws of the country. The Federal University of Acre will be governed by the provisions herein, the General Rules of Procedure, the specific regulations, in other complementary standards and current legislation in the country.
