Lanarkshire is a vibrant region, with new and historic towns and villages, offering both urban and rural spaces to live. It is also a base for world-leading businesses, that’s why you’ll find companies like Coca-Cola and Morgan Stanley flourishing in Lanarkshire. We play a lot of sport and enjoy a lot of outdoor activities. There are pubs, cafés and restaurants for socialising. For those who enjoy more cultural pursuits, there are theatres, concert halls and cinemas. Our newly merged College which combines Coatbridge, Cumbernauld and Motherwell Colleges now has a shared culture making it better placed to meet the needs of students, of staff, of employers, of stakeholders and to meet future challenges facing the sector and our communities. New College Lanarkshire will operate from existing campuses in Coatbridge, Cumbernauld, Kirkintilloch and Motherwell with links to community learning centres across the region. The proposal to merge is aligned with the Scottish Government's Reform of Post–16 Education and the College Regionalisation Agenda.
