"KIST Medical College in consonance with trends the world over treats students as adult learners capable of taking increasing responsibility for their own learning. A mixture of lectures, practicals and self-directed learning sessions (under the guidance of facilitators) are used for student learning.
As recommended by TU, IOM an integrated, organ system approach is followed. All new students have to attend a week long orientation program where they learn about medical ethics, the institution, the duties and responsibilities of a medical student, the art of medicine, the doctor and the community and how to develop problem based learning skills. The students become familiar with faculty members and various departments."
